A prominent border perennial, Cimicifuga is a rather exotic looking specimen. Flaunting its fancy dark green foliage and lavish flower spikes, Actaea cordifolia also delivers an alluringly spicy fragrance from its tiny florets. Standing tall, Cimicifuga is unphased by the cold, wet conditions and is capable of surviving for many years. Height: 1m (39"). Spread: 50cm (20").

Grow Actaea in fertile, reliably moist soil, in dappled or semi shade. Actaea will happily grow in clay soils.

Water regularly until Actaea plants are fully established. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Bugbane in spring to maintain plant vigour and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
