In their wild habitat they grow off the branches and trunks of host plants rather than in the ground. As they have no need for soil they can be attached to shells or rocks for an intriguing and creative display. These Tillandsia have been mounted on a mini log to show off their spiky foliage and make cute ornamental plants for the home or office. Height and spread: 15-20cm (6-8in).

Place your Tillandsias in a bright spot but not in direct sun. Mist frequently with rainwater and during the summer months dip each plant upside down in a cup of rainwater for a few hours once a week whilst keeping the wood dry, ensuring the plants fully dry off between soakings. Frequency of soaking can be reduced in winter. Keep above 12°C.
