Our ‘Amber Shades’ pre-planted basket creates the perfect display without all the hard work! No need to worry about harmonising colours, we’ve come up with the perfect palette - a Carmen-Miranda basket of bananas, oranges and pomegranates! This fruity cocktail balances sizzling orange and yellow shades against the deeper tones of red petunias to create a vivid but harmonious arrangement.

All varieties have been selected for their excellent garden performance, forming fast-growing, compact mounds which are free flowering, drought tolerant and weather resistant. Simply hang up your pre-planted baskets and they'll quickly fill out, pouring gorgeous blooms all summer long.

Amber Shades preplanted basket comprises the following varieties:

Calibrichoa ‘Calita Orange Double’ – Fully double mini petunias in juicy blood orange shades. Trailing up to 50-60cm.
Bidens ‘Taka Tuka Red Yellow Star’ – Dazzling star-shaped red and yellow blooms. Height:60cm (24in). Spread: 45cm (18in)
Petunia SURFINIA® ‘Table Dark Red’ - Sumptuous deep red flowers on neat, compact mounds. Height: 30cm (12in). Spread: 40cm (16in).

When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise pre-planted hanging baskets to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before placing in their final positions in a sheltered sunny spot.

Feed and water garden ready plants frequently throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded flowers regularly to extend the flowering period and encourage more blooms to be produced.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Orders for packets of seed incur a delivery charge of £2.99.

Orders which include any other products will incur a delivery charge of £6.99.

Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products, a maximum delivery charge of £7.99 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.

Large items may incur a higher delivery charge - this will be displayed in your shopping basket.

Van Meuwen strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting.
