A robust selection of the classic white Anemone, that is an improvement on the popular ‘Honorine Joubert’. Flowering from August to October, Anemone x hybrida 'Andrea Atkinson' is great for bridging the gap between the last of the summer flowers and autumn performers. It is especially useful for difficult, shady spots where the light flowers will shine out. It bears large, single to semi-double, saucer-shaped flowers about 6cm across that wave gently on long stems. The crisp white blooms are set against yellow anthers surrounding a green central button. The backs of the petals are sometimes tinged pink and green. Forms strong spreading clumps. Combine it with aconitum and asters for a fantastic late summer to autumn display. Height: 80cm (32in). Spread: 50cm (20in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Acclimatise to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting out on moist fertile, well drained soil in sun or dappled shade. Anemone plants dislike wet ground, particularly during winter. If necessary, improve soil conditions by adding plenty of well rotted manure or compost prior to planting.
Feed and water anemones regularly throughout the growing season. Cut back anemone flowers as they fade. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of anemones in spring. Caution: Irritant to skin and eyes. Harmful if eaten.
