Aubrieta ‘Kitte Blue’ provides a bold spring display, creating sweeping drifts of rich blue-purple flowers held above cushiony mounds of evergreen leaves.

Aubrieta is an enormously popular ground cover plant which flowers from late spring and into early summer. These resilient plants are carpeting and can be used as a natural weed control in sunny borders, rockeries or on banks and awkward slopes.

Aubrieta is loved by bees and butterflies making it a useful addition to wildlife gardens. Plants will grow in any well-drained soil and are especially useful for dry, sunny borders. Height: 10cm (4").Spread: 60cm (24").

Plant aubrieta in full sun or part shade, on well drained neutral or alkaline soil in rockeries, border edges and containers. On heavier soils, incorporate plenty of grit to improve drainage, prior to planting.

Water regularly until plants are fully established. Cut aubrieta plants back hard after flowering to promote a fresh flush of growth and maintain its compact form.
