If you are short on space in your garden but still love the taste of fresh blackberries, or you don’t like the prospect of going out and risking getting scratched when harvesting your favourite late summer fruit then we have the perfect plant for you. Blackberry ‘Black Cascade’ is a brand new variety that has been specifically bred so that it will grow comfortably in a hanging basket yet will still produce a crop of up to 1.3 kg of fruit (3lbs). The arching stems will eventually hang down and produce more than one crop per year, not only that, they are sweeter than their wild cousins so can be eaten straight from the plant! A perfect addition to desserts and puddings! Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Water well until the blackberry plants are fully established. Birds will try to eat the fruit so use using a netting or other means to deter them in each pot or basket. Blackberries can be harvested from August onwards.
