Large single flowers with remarkable red and pink striped petals dangle from the trailing stems of this hardy fuchsia. A compact variety, producing a succession of supremely weather resistant blooms throughout summer and autumn. Perfectly proportioned for patio containers where its trailing habit can be best appreciated. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 60cm (24"). Supplied as 30mm plugs.

Pot up plugs and grow them on until large enough to plant outside in their final positions. Pinch out the growing points where stems have more than 2 sets of leaves, while the plants are still small. This will encourage the plants to produce more stems, making a bushier plant with more flowers. Grow hardy fuchsias in containers or borders, in any moist, well drained soil. Position in a sunny or semi shaded site which is protected from cold winds over winter.

Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, a bark or compost mulch applied to the base of fuchsia plants will help to protect hardy fuchsias from winter cold.
