Hola Guapa! Gaillardia ‘Guapa Yellow’ blazes in gold from June to October, delivering a fiesta of fiery colour for months!

The Guapa series forms compact, multi-branching plants that are covered in large, dazzling blooms with silky petals that shimmer in the sunshine. They are perfect for hot, sun-baked, poor soils defying the heat whilst at the same time being reliably hardy through the winter. These daisy-like flowers are ideal for terrace pots, bedding, groundcover and running along the edge of hot-themed borders. Pollinators will love them too! Height and spread: 40cm (16in).

Grow Blanket Flower plants in any fertile, well drained soil in full sun. Plants will also cope with, and sometimes thrive in, poor, stony, gravelly soils too!

Water blanket flower plants until they are fully established. Once established gaillardia copes well with dry soils and is reasonable drought tolerant. Regular deadheading of faded gaillardia flowers will encourage more blooms to be produced. In late summer, cut back old foliage and flower stems to 15cm (6") to encourage basal growth before the first frosts.
