The most vividly coloured Heucherella available, 'Sweet Tea' boasts a unique and incredibly striking colourway. The large palmate leaves, almost maple-like, open a rich shade of apricot-orange and darken throughout summer to a delicious warm cinnamon with contrasting burgundy veins. The display is enhanced in early summer when dainty spires of pure white flowers rise above the colourful foliage. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 40cm (16").

A cross between Heuchera and Tiarella that combines the best features of both, Heucherella are trailing hardy perennials that look fabulous billowing out of hanging baskets, window boxes and patio containers, where the colourful semi-evergreen leaves provide all-year-round interest. Grow them alone for a cascading fountain of foliage, or in mixed baskets to add texture and contrast. Vigorous and easy to grow, trailing Heucherella also make a fantastic groundcover plant for sun or part shade.

Heucherella plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to water-logging. Plant them in moist, fertile, well drained soil, adding plenty of compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade.

Feed and water Heucherella plants regularly until they are fully established. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant each spring. Lift and divide clumps of Heucherella every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.
