Brush this evergreen, bushy herb with your hand to release its unique fragrance! No herb garden would be complete without Rosemary for its aromatic stems which can be added to your roast lamb dinners. Rosemary is a hardy, long lived shrub that requires very little maintenance. With its small purple flowers early summer, it makes an attractive addition to sunny shrub borders too. Height and spread: 150cm (59").

Grow Rosemary plants in any well drained soil in full sun at a distance of 60cm (2”) apart. Pot up Rosemary plants and grow them on in cool, bright conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting Rosemary plants in any well drained soil in full sun at a distance of 60cm (2”) apart.

Rosemary is undemanding and requires little aftercare. Prune lightly in late spring to maintain an attractive shape.

Culinary note: Rosemary goes well with lamb and chicken. Add Rosemary to tomato soup and stews. Rosemary tea is said to help headaches, colic and colds.
