Description How to Grow More Info Delivery

‘Little Goldstar’ is the result of new breeding, to produce a brilliant Black-Eyed Susan, unlike any other Rudbeckia fulgida variety! It blooms with daisy-like flowers non-stop from July right through to October – each flower a bright, golden-yellow with a dark central eye. Perennial Rudbeckia fulgida ‘Little Goldstar’ has a neat and compact habit, forming mounds of long-lasting flowers in borders or patio pots each year, which are attractive to bees and butterflies. Easy to grow and a delight in the garden, Coneflowers make excellent cut flowers for the home too. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 40cm (16").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Grow rudbeckia plants in sun or semi shade. Rudbeckia enjoys a fertile, preferably heavy soil that is rich in organic matter and well drained. Coneflowers resent drought and dislike soils that dry out in summer.
Feed and water rudbeckia plants regularly. Deadhead faded rudbeckia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Cut plants down to the crown at the end of the season and cover with a dry mulch of straw or wood chippings to protect from winter extremes.
