Long flowering and versatile, Scabiosa columbaria ‘Pincushion Blue’ is a short scabious that is perfect for gravel gardens, wildlife areas, containers and the front of dry, sunny borders. A magnet for butterflies and moths, this hardy perennial produces soft lavender pincushion flowers above a cushion of attractive divided foliage from late spring right through to autumn. Drought tolerant once established, scabious thrives in sunny, free-draining sites. Height: 30cm (12in). Spread: 50cm (20in).
