In their wild habitat they grow off the branches and trunks of host plants rather than in the ground. As they have no need for soil they can be attached to shells or rocks for an intriguing and creative display. These hanging Tillandsia are displayed in a glass bulb and make novel houseplants for the home or office. Height and spread: 15-20cm (6-8in).

Hang your Tillandsia in a bright spot but not in direct sun. From spring to autumn, immerse the plant in rainwater for a few hours once a week, ensuring it fully dries off in between. Frequency of soaking can be reduced in winter. Misting with rainwater also helps the plant to keep hydrated in hot conditions. Keep above 12°C.
