A fabulous collection of Anemone coronaria that will sparkle with jewel-like colour.

Anemone ‘Rainbow Collection’ offers five of the best Anemone coronaria varieties including brilliant red, rich blue and warm pink balanced with shots of cool white. Wide, bowl-shaped blooms with silky petals float on long stems above delicate ferny foliage. Plant them in generous groups through freely-draining borders, rockeries, containers and troughs. Their colour-intense blooms will keep flowering for up to 4 weeks in spring or summer, depending upon time of planting. These stunning flowers are florist favourites and will last up to 10 days in a vase. Height and spread: 30cm (12in).

Anemone ‘Rainbow Collection’ contains 175 Bulbs, 35 of each of the following varieties:

  • Anemone ‘Bicolour’ – White petals with a central ring of raspberry-red and a dark central button.
  • Anemone ‘The Bride’ – Crisp white petals with a lime green button.
  • Anemone ‘Hollandia’ – Brilliant carmine-red with an inner white ring surrounding a dark central button.
  • Anemone ‘Mr Fokker’ – Rich violet-blue with a dark central button.
  • Anemone ‘Sylphide’ – Violet-pink petals with a dark central button.

Prior to planting, anemone bulbs should be soaked in water overnight. Choose a position in full sun on light sandy, well drained soil, and plant them in groups at a depth of 5cm (2") deep.
Anemone bulbs require a dry, dormant period in summer when the foliage begins to die back after flowering in early summer. Do not water them during this period. In autumn, apply a dry mulch of leaf mould or chipped bark to protect the bulbs from winter wet. Caution: The sap of Anemone coronaria is an irritant to the skin and eyes and harmful if eaten.
