Cytisus x praecox will soon form into a small, rounded shrub in your garden. Covered in pale yellow flowers in late spring this Broom is easy to grow and will tolerate most soil types and conditions. Once planted at the back of a flower border or included in a shrub collection, it can be left alone with only a minimum of care needed. Height: 150cm (59"). Spread 150cm (59").Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Plant Broom into garden borders in fertile, well drained garden soil, in full shade Cytisus is a very useful shrub, which can also tolerate poor soils, or planting onto sloping ground.

Broom should be trimmed back during May, after plants have flowered. You can also rejuvenate Broom plants over a 3 year period by pruning out a third of the branches each year, again after flowering.
