Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
Contrary to its name, Golden King is an outstanding female Holly. A fantastic specimen for year round interest, this handsome shrub bears white flowers in spring and spherical red berries in winter, which are loved by birds. Its toothed evergreen foliage makes a striking impression with glossy green leaves that are edged with a golden yellow. For best results grow with a male variety nearby. Height: 6m (19'). Spread: 5m (16').

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Caution: Holly berries are harmful if eaten. Plant Holly trees in garden borders in any moist, well drained garden soil, in full sun or semi-shade.
Feed and water Holly trees regularly until they are fully established. Prune young Holly trees and formal hedges in summer, removing any damaged stems and trimming the remaining growth to shape. In later years free standing Holly trees require very little pruning at all.
