An astonishing variety which was crowned the Plant of the Year at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018! Hydrangea ‘Runaway Bride® ‘Snow White’ produces up to 6 times more flowers than most other cultivars. The white blooms are blushed with just a hint of pink, creating a truly romantic display. This award winning, hardy shrub has a dense, rounded habit that makes it perfect for a patio container. Alternatively, plant it in a lightly shaded border, where it will add plenty of elegance to your planting scheme. Height and spread: 120cm (48").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten. Position Hydrangea plants in sun or semi shade and sheltered from cold winter winds. Plant Hydrangea in borders in rich, moist, well drained soil. Add plenty of well rotted manure to improve heavy clay or light gravel soils.

Hydrangea 'Runaway Bride' is a particularly heavy feeder, but demands less water than most macrophylla cultivars. Feed and water regularly, but avoid waterlogging the soil.

Leave the faded hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage.

Prune the old stems after flowering, leaving the new growth in situ, as this Hydrangea flowers on new growth unlike most others. After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant.
