Leucanthemum ‘Real Gold Cup’ is a medium-tall variety boasting large, semi-double, bright yellow flowers with darker centres. The flowers are held on strong, upright stems above dark green, lance-shaped foliage, and plants grow in rapidly spreading clumps. These golden daisies instantly inject sunshine into borders, flowering prolifically from early summer until the end of autumn if regularly dead-headed.

Shasta daisies are a staple of the perennial border – reliable, long-flowering, generally untroubled by pests and diseases and adaptable to most soil types. The flowers make long-lasting vase arrangements. Height and spread: 90cm (35in).

Pot up plugs and grow on until all danger of frost has passed before planting out in borders or containers. Grow Shasta Daisies in any moist, well drained soil in sunny or semi shaded borders.

Feed and water regularly until plants are established. Deadhead faded leucanthemum flowers throughout summer to promote a constant supply of fresh blooms. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of shasta daisy in spring or late summer, after flowering. Reduce the old stems to ground level in autumn.
