This dwarf evergreen to semi-evergreen shrub injects spots of dazzling bright foliage into borders and patio containers throughout the year. Its slender, pointed leaves also provide an excellent textural contrast to broader-leaved plants. Nandina domestica 'Magical Lemon and Lime' forms a bushy shrub with new spring growth emerging lemon-green gradually transitioning to a vivid lime-green in the summer. Grow it in a sunny position to retain its beautiful colour as plants grown in the shade will become darker green. In summer, small white flowers may appear. Height and spread: 60cm (24in).

Grow Nandina in a moist, but well-drained soil in a sheltered position in full sun. Plants will tolerate a wide range of soils, from sand to chalk and clay.

Heavenly Bamboo plants are low-maintenance and easy to grow, requiring very little pruning, simply tidy plants after flowering to remove any dead, damaged or unshapely growth.
