The fluffy pink catkins of Salix gracilistyla 'Mount Aso' make a fabulous sight in winter - perfect for adding texture to your winter flower arrangements. The catkins are transformed to gold in Spring, before the appearance of its blue-green leaves, each with a silvery underside. This charming Japanese Pussy Willow makes a fine border shrub. Height and spread: 150cm (59").

Grow Salix in a sunny or partially shaded position, in any well drained soil.

Water well until established, prune out dead or old wood to encourage new shoots to appear.
