Albizia julibrissin 'Rouge de Tuilière'

Acclimatise young saplings and plant out after danger of frost has passed. Plant albizia in a warm, sheltered position in any well drained soil in full sun.

Prune silk trees in winter or early spring, reducing the stems to fit the available space, and removing any damaged, crossing or wayward branches entirely. Albizia may be successfully wall trained. During the first few years prune to achieve a permanent framework of stems. Thereafter the stems of wall trained albizia can be reduced annually to within 4 buds from the permanent framework.
