The steely blue foliage of Festuca 'Intense Blue' forms a neat, low growing clump that requires very little maintenance. This ornamental grass is ideal for providing evergreen colour and texture, wherever it is needed. It makes a superb landscaping plant for gravel gardens and low maintenance planting schemes, and works equally well in the rockery or patio containers. Height and spread: 30cm (12").

Pot up plug plants using free-draining compost, and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. Once they are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting them outdoors. Plant Festuca glauca into any moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.

Festuca grass is pest and disease free, and requires no pruning.
