Tulip 'Angels Share' features an unusual bi-colour combination - rose-coloured petals feather into white margins in a classic single form. Its sophisticated palette makes a nice change from some of the brashier, hot-coloured varieties and is perfect for fresh spring bouquets.

A mid-season, triumph tulip, Tulip ‘Angels Share’ flowers in April, just before the Darwin hybrids. Triumph tulips are one of the most popular of tulip varieties, prized for their strong stems, robust, weather-resistant blooms and impressive colour range. Plant Tulip 'Angels Share' in generous groups through borders or in large containers on the patio. It will also make superb and long-lasting cut flowers. Height: 40cm (15in). Spread: 15cm (6in).

Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6") and at a distance of 13cm (5") apart.

After flowering, deadhead the faded tulip flowers and allow the foliage to die back completely before removing it in summer. Caution: Tulip bulbs are an irritant to skin and eyes, and are harmful if eaten.
