This cultivar of the popular ‘Umbrella Plant’ has been transformed into a striking beauty with bright, cream and green flashed foliage. Schefflera arboricola 'Charlotte' is a cinch to look after and great for beginners. It will readily grow into a well-branching, bushy shrub which can be pruned into shape if required. The boldly variegated leaves offer a lively contrast to other plain-leaved houseplants. Maximum height: 1.5m (5ft). Maximum spread: 1m (3.2ft).

An adaptable houseplant, growing happily in average room temperatures of 18C (65F) - 24C (75F). Do not allow temperatures to fall below 12C (55F). A bright to lightly shaded position, well away from direct sunlight is ideal. Avoid positioning this plant close to cold draughts and radiators.

Water regularly, allowing the top 2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings and ensuring that the root ball does not become saturated. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth.
