Plant gardenia in sheltered borders or containers in any well drained, rich fertile, neutral to acid soil. Choose a sheltered position in dappled or semi shade. Water regularly until gardenia plants are fully established. Where possible, use rainwater as the lime contained in tap water will reduce the soils acidity over time.Water Gardenia plants regularly throughout the growing season. Protect gardenia plants from hard frosts during particularly cold periods. Container-grown Gardenias may be moved to a cool frost-free position for the winter if necessary. Gardenias require little pruning other than lightly trimming the stems to maintain their shape in spring.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above.
